Hello, I have installed a Spin-on Oil filter on my Minor. I looked around all over for new adapters, very expensive! The most reasonable price was from BullMotif in England.
Then I had a vision! After working on so many British cars over the years, my thoughts were streaming through my head. This 1098 was used in so many cars, the good old "A" series. Soooo, a few e-mails later I located a company, BMC outside of Hamilton Ontario. Ben was very helpful. He is in semi-retirement but still has quite a collection of A series engine components. I got the correct mounting from him at a very reasonable price.
The conversion went off without a hitch and now: NO oil leaks!
My car is a daily driver, not a show queen, but it is kept in great condition.
She is not fast, but a steady cruising speed of 50mph seems quite sufficient and comfortable. With her new nameplates from England and new turn signal lamps from Rhode Island she works just fine and looks great.
