Hi,

In early November, I installed a Pioneer AM/FM/cassette/cd controller
in my fiancee's 94 Taurus. There was one wire which I was not certain
how to connect to the wiring harness. I _think_ the wire is for the
stereo's memory and needs a constant supply of 12v. (I don't have the
stereo installation booklet with me to check this.) Anyway, I
connected it to the 12v power lead. The stereo works great and does
not lose any programmed stations, etc. However, now the dash lights
are on at all times regardless of the position of the headlight
switch. The dash light dimmer switch still functions correctly.
Where did I go wrong? Could my wiring confusion cause the dash light
problem or should I look elsewhere? Thanks and Happy Holidays.

Kevin
