I want to thank everyone for their input on removing broken stud/bolts.
Last night I undertook the task and......................score!!!
Three out of the three broken studs removed from the cylinder head!!
I ended up using 2 small sizes of center drill bits to start my pilot hole,
a 1/8" left handed drill bit, and a spiral easy out to get everything out.
The center drills really help bigtime. These small drill bits look like
a wood counter sinking drill bit except they have only a small cutting tip
approx. 1/8" inch long on the end. This lets you apply pressure to the bit
without it bending and sending your drilled hole askew. Once this little
pilot hole is started the drill bits dig in without walking. Also, while
using the left handed drill bit, one of the studs backed out half way
during drilling, these are excellent also....I'll finish buttoning up
things this weekend, thanks again for your help.....

Steve Thibodeau.....happy camper :^)
