OK. Here are some of the details gleaned from the November 1987 issue of
Mustang Monthly.
The president, and I suppose founder also, of Shelby de Mexico was
Eduardo Velazquez. According to the interview in the article the cars
apparently were shipped without VINs from Detriot.
Velazquez claims that in 1967, 50 cars were assembled, "a little over 100
in 1968, 250 in 1969, and 100 in 1970."*
The VIN of the first '69 Mexican Shelby, the Shelby featured in the
article, is AF07JU20068.
This isn't much, but it should be more than enough "real" information for
anyone with more curiousity to do more research.
