The other day I spotted a brilliant purple '94 Mustang.
The first thought that crossed my mind was Mopar's
"Plum Crazy" which was available circa' 1970. I recall
that when an old friend of mine and I were building his
'66 Satellite, that was the color we used.

Plum crazy isn't as brilliant as it sounds like that color was. I just
painted my '67 Firebird with it, and though we used a little pearling, it
turned out a VERY deep purple - It looks black in the right light, and
it's an unbelievable color. It turns all sorts of colors, but that may be
the sole function of the pearling. Anyway, it's an impressive color.
