I caught a segment of the Motorweek tv show this past Sunday. They did a review
of the 1995 Pontiac Firebird SLP. It looks like a real hot car, it is a limited
edition, it is to go up against the Cobra market I guess. It is not a bad
looking car, for a GM... It has a functional hood scoop, with the lettering
on the side of it reading, 315 HP. The specs that they gave from their review
was the following: 315 HP, 6 speed, 0-60 in 4.9 seconds, 13.5 @ 103mph in the
1/4. Price as tested 26k. It is suppose to handle quite well also, and has a
3yr 36k bumper to bumper warranty. Did anyone else see this show? How does this
compare to say a Cobra Mustang? I wanted to give a heads up so that no one
gets surprised by this stealth Firebird....

Someone on campus has a 94 or 95 Firebird Firehawk that always makes me
drool a bit- black with the Firehawk aluminum wheels and the sweetest
sounding exhaust I have heard in a while. I can hear the car blocks away
running up through the gears and I swear I am at Road Atlanta when the
noise(MUSIC) reflects through the neighborhood. I'd like to see that
thing take on the lucky SOB here who drives a black Viper to school everyday!
