Hi all.. I'm wondering what year/make brake hose/block assembilies I need
to order. I've got '78 Monarch rotors, and a new set of '68 stainless steel
brake lines designed for front disc brakes.

Max,

I used the '79 monarch hoses, and just cut u-turn off the brake lines and
reflared them so they fit. I have heard that some other hoses from a '76
mustang or something fit without needing this mod, but I haven't tried it.

There are as many solutions here as people on the list. If you are not
to sure about flaring the lines you can buy adapter fittings at any auto
parts store (thats what I did) or even use braided steel brakelines
(custom made like I plan to do).

I've used 76 Maverick hoses. Same caliper. Maverick hoses are a straight
fitting, not a banjo fitting like some monarch hoses.

They're long enough (at least on my car) to go straight to the original brake
lines.

You have to use a 5/16" to 3/16" adapter on the end, though.

I used '73 Mustang brake hoses. These bolted up to the Monarch/Granada calipers
and to the SS brake lines.

So, if you can get a double flaring tool (I have access to one now), you
can just cut off the flared end and reflare the end with the Monarch brake line
fittings.
