Thanks for the useful advice and information on a leaking gas tank sensor unit
for my 66 coupe. I never cease to be amazed at the mount and quality of
information available on these vehicles via the Web. I ordered a new sensor,
gasket, and retaining ring today; the parts were reasonable, and I figured why
not replace the sensor at the same time, before I have to deal with this
problem someday. By the way, the car sits in the garage now with the rear end
jacked up high to assist draining the remainder of the (leaking) gasoline into
cans; things should be ship-shape after I receive the parts and get them
installed (next week?).
