I do like the idea of some sort of on-line listing of good
experiences as well as bad. Sort of a "Hall of Fame" and "Hall of
Shame"! Without doubt, some vendors are going to get rubbed the
wrong way by this, so some sort of a rebuttal feature should be
included for the "offensive" vendors to make use of. In fairness, if
someone bashes them because (e.g.: "Their repro bumpers are badly
stamped and have cheap chrome", they should certainly be able to
respond by saying that "it was a bad shipment, we sent the rest back
to the manufacturer, everybody is selling this same stuff, it's not
our fault", you get the idea. For really big problems, a hotlink to
the Better Business Bureau might be a nice touch. I'd like to see
the people who post complaints also mention their order/invoice
number, just so everybody knows it's not a b.s. post.
If this is going to be attempted, it should be handled with caution.
Just the other day, I saw a show on the Sci-Fi Channel that dealt
with a company called "CyberTrackers" that polices the web for
unsavory pictures of celebrities. The celebs pay this company to
more or less bully webmasters into taking certain, uh, material off
of their web pages. It's not a huge stretch to think that retailers
could also follow that lead if they think they are being trashed
without cause. Perhaps some research is needed. There must be
someone else doing this on the internet, just not regarding Mustang
parts companies.

I agree with Gary. It would help if both good and bad experiences could be
posted (but in a positive and constructive way). This way vendors can tell
what they are doing right and wrong. Concerning the legal issue, if we walk
carefully and try to be sure the post are factual we should be OK.
What is everybodies feeling???
