There are several businesses here in Hollywood that rent vehicles to
studios and production companies. In addition to the usual police cars,
taxis, fire trucks, etc., they all have an assortment of ordinary
passenger vehicles. Amongst these, there are *always* a red 65-66
Mustang convertible or two. They are evidently popular with producers
and directors. I've seen several of them on location shoots. Though they
look great on film, up close they would be laughed out of a car show.

I also notice that at any given Mustang show I attend, half of the early
convertibles seem to be red.
