LOL, I never had any problems with the front carb on the dual quad
setup. Well, maybe the darn distributor made the idle fuel air setting
a pain though

I recently purchased and installed a curved Monte Carlo bar. During
installation I had to do some tweeking to get it to fit, and was appalled at
how flexible it was as a result of introducing a curve in the middle of the
strut. What I envisaged would be an ultra stiff strut, in reality could be
easily bent by introducing a lever between the shock tower mounting face and
the bar end flange.
If I had the choice again I would definately go with a straight (ie stiff)
bar not a curved one, ..after all, why are we fitting it in the first
place..?
Its a wonder that no one seems to sell straight bars with quick
remove/install end fittings (such as you see on Camaros and other cars). TCP
do sell an excellent multi brace set up that proves for full engine access,
but its not cheap and a lot of holes have to be drilled.
I guess I might have to make up my own one, straight for stiffness, but with
quick disconnect couplings at either end, to provide full engine access.
Just my 2c worth.

Haven't tried it on the BB car. It is used on my smallblock..

Thanks Walt, that's a good trick. Been following this string too, as I have the same clearance problem with my 302/ MSD billet distributor.

The guys at Canadian Mustang assure me that a MC Bar will fit without
modification, even with the A/C compressor right there. I haven't tried it
yet though.
