I recently sold my '69 Taladega basket case to Randy Peterson of Sonoma, CA
so that he could use the body to restore his '69 Holman-Moody Talladega
NASCAR Grand National stock car.

Randy found the following part numbers on his chassis:

C6-OZ-6211135-B on the passenger side of the transmission tunnel

C8-OZ-5401610-* on the passenger side of the cowl/firewall

Being familiar with Ford part numbers from his days just out of high school
working in the parts department of the local Ford dealer and then later when
he was racing and building Mustangs, he has not been able to trace these
numbers.

Are the part numbers for the assemblies that were welded together to for the
body of a Torino at the factory?

Randy currently vintage road races a Corvette and built most of the
Corvettes being vintage raced at this time.

However, when he got the bug to go vintage stock car racing he reverted back
to his Ford roots and purchased the Talladega.

I will be getting pictures of his project soon and will share them with the
lists.

If you want to see the Talladega body that I sold him go to:

On another note, my friend Mike Hallenbeck has just completed the
documentation proving that the '69 NASCAR Torino he restored, is the same
car that Richard Petty drove to victory at the 1969 Motor Trend 500 in
Riverside, CA in his first race for Ford.
