Hi all,

Need some help with the location of the bottom door
seal on my '69. Since the car never had these any help
such as instructions and/or pictures would be very
helpful.

Thank you.

Hey Patrick,

Are you asking about the weather stripping
for the doors?

Regards,

Hi Randy,

You could see it at these links. First picture is most
clear but doesn't indicate exactly in what area it
goes. I found a flat area under the door but it's
quite wide and am not sure if the seal goes as far in
or out as possible. To add to my confusion, picture 2
shows it with the large area outwards?

metropartsmarket.com/catalog/image_classicmustang_c9_3091.html

docsmustang.com/Weatherstripping/wstripping.htm

Apparently a lot of 69-70, like mine didn't have
these.

A cross-section of the seal is something like this:

Patrick,

I wasn't aware of these. Thanks for the lesson
and link. I know my '70 didn't have these when I took
it apart, (doesn't mean someone else didn't take them off)

Unfortunately, my car is in winter storage right now or I'd look
for the screw holes. It appears, from your link, that these
door seals are held in place w/ screws.

Did you check to see if your door has these screw holes?
(for mounting location guidance)

Venezuela? Very cool!
If you get a chance to reply, what's the 'hot rod' scene like
down there?

Regards,
Randy
