Eric:

Thanks for the advice! As usual, you are right on the money. (No pun
intended.)

For all you ladies and gents out there concidering a Mustang for a daily
college driver, there has been a lot of good advice about purchasing the
car in excellent mechanical shape to begin with. As a graduate student
at UCI (read SLAVE), I'm with you on the lack of money, time, and work
area. Take the advice and plop down the extra cash to get the car
already mechanically sound so you can enjoy your classic, rather than
curse the inevitable.

I'm sure my Mustang will be a superb creature when I'm done in a few
years. Unfortunately, like the rest of us, I want it sparkly now!

Good luck to all of you and especially to you Eric on the birth of your
beautiful baby!!!

(Say, how much mechanical stuff can you get done at the 2am feeding?)
