I dunno...I was at a gas station a while back in my '71 Mach (nice, big,
Detroit iron, throaty exhaust) when a couple HS kids drove up in a
rice-burner with a trumpet-bell exhaust. They did the obligatory (for kids
- remember we all did that???) rev of their mean-sounding 4-banger before
shutting it down. When I was done fueling, I got back in the Mach and gave
them a real dose of what an engine should sound like, from 3 rows of pumps
away.
The kids with the ricer thought it was way cool (sort of "ok, ok, you
win!"
...and of the adults who were there, there were a few big grins!

I know they are almost the same but the Tokyo Drift car was a 67 not a 68.
