I'm the third owner of this car. The second owner (briefly)was a young Marine Corp. Sargent who had this car and a '70 MGB which he really liked but admitted that this car was the better of the two. Marines, being constantly re-deployed, couldn't continue to drag around both cars, so he sold me this one. The car was originally sold to a professor at Stanford U. in '63 and I'm fortunate to have every original paper on the car including the original sales order. I added OD to it and other than that she's as original as the day she came off the line. Gonna keep her.

Beautiful! And nice to know the provenance, too - but if it's a '65 how did that prof buy it ion '63? Time traveler? ;-)

Thank you Jim for your kind comments. This is not our first MG but it is our favorite out of a total of ten that we've had over the years. It is the first one that my wife and I bought together. We do take frequent long road trips in "Roscoe". We started naming our cars when our two girls were very young and since we are a family of pilots, we have always tried to name each car after a famous aviator or aviatrix. Usually someone with an unusual name preferred.

I had the exact same car!! Same color British Racing Green. Same wheels, everything. However, I lost all of my photos of that car in a flood. I was wondering if you could hook me up with some pictues of your great car. It would bring back some great memories for this old soul.
