Ben E's 1964 Ford Cortina
|
Car was bought new in California, by a little old lady who became too elderly to drive shortly thereafter. The car was parked behind a nephew's shop, and was discovered there in the early 90's with 17k on the clock.
The guy that found the car began to (poorly) perform a V8 swap, and did not finish the car. It was later sold to a realtor from Hollywood, who had the car finished to a (slightly) higher standard.
I bought the car in 1996, and have been re-vamping the car ever since. It is now powered by a 375 hp 306 Ford V8 built by Jim Woods at Fordstrokers with Trickflow aluminum heads. And yes, it handles very well, before you ask.

Those rear light clusters make me drool just looking at them, great car!
