I have an 89 F150 with the ignition module located on the distributor. My truck will start up and run great when the engine is cold, but if it's been run it won't start back up. Turns over fine, but won't restart. Go back again when it's cold, it's fine again. It's honestly driving me nuts! A friend of mine told me that there is a rebuild kit for where the ignition module mounts on the distributor. He says that because of its location that eventually it just has too much heat and everything breaks down. Anyone heard of this?
