Geez, go to any autoparts store and simply ask for a battery for your car,? they are stocked everywhere and buy a good hold down retainer too

Newbie here. My '66 coupe needs a new battery. The previous owner put in one that does not fit properly and is not held down, so glad it's time to buy a new one. Trouble is, I have not found a new one for less than $250 at CJ. Is there another I can use that will fit properly and is an Autolite but not so pricey??Any help appreciated,Brad, Vacaville, CA

Typically, they take a type 24F battery.? Those are available anyplace and
for a heckuva lot less than $250.? You shouldn't have to pay more than $60
or so for a decent battery.

I've got the original black California plate. I like it enough not to go personalized.

I've considered:

1TRKPNY (one trick pony)

I saw a poppy red (same color as mine) C-code convertible with 'TANG64' as the plate. It's very close to the color of Tang so I've considered 'I<3TANG' and 'GOTTANG', and 'TANG65'

Six letters two first have to be letters can't switch back and forth is pretty tough. Hold that thought winking smiley

I noted at the last Knott's Berry Farm show I attended in California, there
were some plates that you could use symbols like a heart in place of numbers
and letters.

I have a plate "CO JET" that has been on a lot of different cars Ive owned.
On my 69 Mustang its branded as 428 Cobra Jet.
When its on some other worthy car, it is branded as Company Jet..

Ive also owned "BIG BOS" on my Boss 429 and VRY COL (very cool ) on another
Mustang.

Yeah, there's a hand, a star, a heart and I can't remember what else.

Where can I get the heater hose barb that is in the block?

Does a 400 block have a cooling water bypass block off disk in the block, if
so, is it the same as the Cleveland?
