I am 70 years old and have been married to my wife, Tavie, for 50 years. We live in Pell City, Al., which is just north of Birmingham and on lake Logan Martin. We have 2 children, Amber and Adam. We also have 5 grandkids, Hayden, Haley, Brenlie, Tanner and Beckett. We have 2 Miniature Schnauzer's, Zoie and Zach. I am also a 35 year veteran of football officiating.. I have owned British sports cars since 1975 when I bought my first MGB, a 1973 tourer. I have owned way more cars than my wife would have wanted me to. However, it has been a labor of love I wouldn't trade for anything. I love sports cars. Bill

1964 MGB
Posted on: Wednesday May 11, 2022
Well, it's May of 2022 and this is my first post in a while here. My '64 B that I have cussed and fret over for more than 9 years may now turn out to be one of my favorite MGB's yet. It is performing very well and hasn't given me any trouble in a while. I may keep it a while longer and enjoy it. Bill
'64 MGB Front Suspension
Posted on: Wednesday July 17, 2019
Here it is July 12th and I'm pulling the front suspension on my car. The front tires were wobbling and bouncing when I hit a hole in the road. I found out my front shock was low on fluid and my suspension is worn out. I knew this was coming so it's not a big surprise. I will start tearing it down and making a list. July 17th. : worked on it some more and decided I am going to buy the swivel axle already built as I don't have the time or tools to do it. I am also replacing brake lines, bearings...
MGB
Posted on: Friday May 17, 2019
May 17th. as I'm still trying to decide whether to keep my '64 MGB or sell it and get a early MGB/GT. It's hard to decide as my '64 is so nice. It's going to be hard to find a decent early GT that is nice. I wish my old '67 had not been as rusty and needing so much work. However, my '64 is nice so I may be tempted to keep it. Anyone out there with a nice GT that wants to sell or trade, let me know, Bill.
1964 MGB Finally Running
Posted on: Monday February 4, 2019
Well here it is Feb.4th. and my '64 B is finally running well enough to take out on the road. I've been adjusting on the carbs and timing and it is now running reasonably well. It still has a slight hesitation but I can work that out eventually. I hope to now take it to Barbers and drive it daily. Only time will tell. Bill
