Currently working for a national radio broadcaster, married for 31 years with three grown up children. I have been an MG enthusiast since 2000 when I bought a 1975 MGB GT (Due to Mid-life crisis according to my wife!)Then the dream was to own an early B Roadster and that dream was fulfilled in 2005.
2013 has been an interesting year so far. I decided to sell my B after enjoying her for almost 8 years and try something a little more modern from the MG stable. I came across a 2005 MG TF 115 with just 28000miles on the clock. Advertised at an MG specialist 'Beech Hill Garage' near Reading, and took the plunge. It's the 1.6 litre base model but drives superbly. I sold the B in just one week with several enquiries. The new owner is an MG enthusiast so it's gone to a good home near Norwich.

Life With The MG TF
Posted on: Saturday December 14, 2013
Since purchasing the TF earlier in the year, I have really enjoyed owning and driving this car. Only problem has been a faulty SCU which prevented the rear fog guard lamps from operating and the intermittent wiper mode. A replacement unit was fitted by the garage where I purchased the car from and this was done under warranty. Have maintained a watch on coolant levels as recommended and have followed guidelines to avoid the dreaded head gasket problems associated with the F and TF. warm up the...
Into The New Year
Posted on: Tuesday March 20, 2012
My first entry for 2012 and looking forward to some excellent days out. MoT test last Saturday and she passed again with flying colours and no advisory items. Did just over 800 miles last 12 months. Car is running very well although carbs could do with a balance. Have tried without too much success, I need an airflow meter to do it properly. have had a few local trips out when the weather has been reasonable to keep the wheels turning. Lighter evenings on the way from this Sunday with the clock...
Magnificent Motors

First show visit of the year and a run down to Eastbourne, Sussex for the Magnificent Motors Event. Saturday 30th April. Travelled down in convoy with 3 other B's and a superb Lotus Elan. Weather was a bit chilly to start with but warmed up by midday. Managed to get my wife to accompany me. She was well wrapped up with a tartan blanket! Lovely show, around 600 cars on display at Princes Park, just across the road from the sea front. The B performed superbly without a hiccup. The Lotus...
Job Done
Posted on: Saturday March 19, 2011
Saturday morning and a crisp frosty start to the day with cloudless sky. Brakes bled Thursday night, in fact decided to replace all the fluid which is advised every two years. Test drive revealed no problems and a normal braking action. Job Done! Thanks to Chris for his assistance. Taking the B out for a little scamper now. Regards to all
