GM has confirmed that they will build the Camaro, pretty much as
presented as a dream car earlier.

Already the press is questioning GM for bringing out another muscle car
when global warming is all the rage in the media and with Algore.

MY main problem is that they won't have it out for TWO more full years.
late 2008 production for 2009 model year. The Challenger will beat it
by a long margin, and of course the Mustang will have 15 special
varients by then too. Heck by then someone in China or Korea will buy
the AMC brand and start building ScRamblers before then! smiling smiley With
bowling alley accessory parts!

Makes our old SHO's look even that much better.

And earlier on, GM said they wouldn't build it unless they could sell 100K
units per year. Either they are living in dream land and still believe those
sales projections, or they have decided that they must come out with the car
anyway. If it's the latter, I think they are making an expensive mistake.

I guess I don't see any possible connection between the new pony cars and a
SHO.
