Rock auot lists 2 blend door actuators, one "with factory air" part #YH530
and one that just says "heater" part# YH531. Any thoughts on how I'm
supposed to know what the difference is?!

Hard to remember that there are Taurii out there that don't have a/c. Probably less than ten left on the road winking smiley Of the hundreds of Taurii and Sables I've seen, I have not come across one without it. Probably because I don't live near Canada.

"Remember"? I don't think I even knew (blissfully unaware?) that such a
beast existed... What does the dash look like? I'd be genuinely
interested to see one.

P.S. I feel dirty posting to SHOTimes...

Regards,
Jon Heese

Probably typical Ford a/c delete setup. Looks just like any other manual control head, except a/c and max a/c positions are not marked for the source switch. Wouldn't notice it if you weren't looking for it. Can't miss the lack of a compressor in the engine bay, though, unless you are oblivious to engine stuff, like my wife (bought a used Subaru in 91, didn't realize it had air conditioning for three months, July, August and September).
