I towed this baby from ~100 miles away today, (The Owner thought it
wouldn't start.) paid the (former) owner his 300.00 asking price,
drained the gas tank, ran a bunch of gas through the lines, took
the carb apart, cleaned it, and it STARTED RIGHT UP!!! VROOM!!!
Sounded really good, except for some timing chain noise that I
couldn't get around to this weekend. It's a 3-speed, BTW, not a 4
as I had originally posted. Runs great, shifts great, no rust!!<<smiling smiley
Some front fender damage, but he threw in a replacement one. It's
the (Original?) 221 V-8 motor. Gosh, that's one tiny V-8! Cute.
(I'm really happy-can you tell?) Now I have to wash off this godawful
stale gas/varnish/gunky smell.
