More discussion of the definition of a "street car"...

............. If she says "no", then it aint a street car. ......

(from the auctions)?
.........................................................................

Hi Peter,

My wife has a limited vocabulary, and she shows no willingness
to learn. She especially has problems with the following words:

BARGAIN as in "It was really a bargain, and I'll bet I can make it run!"

UNDERVALUED as in "It was really undervalued! Others saw the bashed-in
body and didn't bid very much. But it still has a radiator and
all four wheels!"

HIDDEN VALUE as in "They didn't see the hidden value in that non-running
AMC Pacer!"

TUNE-UP as in "I'll just tune it up a bit, and then we can get it home!"

CLEAN UP as in "All I need to do is clean it up a bit. The dog smell
will disappear (from an animal control car), and so will all the
animal dander! You could even wear your black dress again!"

IMPROVISE as in "I'll just improvise a drain gutter to catch all the
water from the rusted out rear deck of that Chevelle!"

POLISH as in "Wait until I polish it! All the rust mushrooms on the
hood will disappear."

FOLLOW ME as in "This time please, please follow me just in case it
stops again!"

SAN LUIS OBISPO as in "The auction car I bought sight unseen is in
San Luis Obispo. It's only a five hour drive, and you'll love
the scenery!"

I could go on, but I think that you get the picture.

Best regards,
George
