I'm trying to decide what to do about getting a vehicle
to tow my race car. I've got a '72 Mustang w/460 that
I currently drive to the drag strip, but where I moving to,
it is going to be too far to drive it.
Moreover, I'm going to be building a new car (early 60's Falcon)
that will be more radical and maybe not street legal anyway,
so I'll need to tow it.

I'm wondering what is necessary to allow a vehicle to tow.
Must it weigh more than the car+trailer it is towing?
Are beefy brakes and a full-frame sufficient?

My plan is to put the drivetrain out of the '72 Mustang into
something else, though can the Mustang tow itself?
I thought a early 50's F100 truck would be neat, but they
are big vehicles, and I'm going to have 3 vehicles (street car,
tow-car, and race-car), so I'm not sure I'll have room.

I was thinking another early Falcon (maybe a Ranchero model)
as a tow car would be neat, but can I beef one up to tow?

Any feedback appreciated.
