If you have the dimensions of the seal I could probably make a tool.

Turns out the machine shop installed it already. Scratch that request.

One thing I *am* going to make is one of those conical "timing cover
centering tools." Ford didn't bother to pin the cover in any fixed
place, so you goop the cover and put it on, then put the balancer on to
center the cover, then tighten what bolts you can get to, pull the
balancer back off and tighten the rest of the bolts.

It appears my '89 302 block has dowels in the bottom two holes for just
this purpose. I haven't tried installing the cover yet though.
