A report on the change over of SVO foot pedals to my 86 GT Mustang.
(For those who care, or don't have anything else to do now)

I found a wrecked 84 SVO in a local junk yard with what appeared to be
good condition foot pedals. $50 later I had all 4 pedals, the mounting
cradel and hardware (just in case).
Crawling under my dash (I HATE under dash work, why can't they make the
dash unit open fully on hinges like Boeing airplanes do for under dash
type work ?) I held up the SVO brake and throttle set in approximate
positon. They appear to match with the important difference the SVO brake
is canted to the right, and the throttle is canted to the left. This
places the brake very close to the throttle for easy heel-toe work, just
what I wanted. (Look on the original pedals, straight up and down).

I took the SVO pedals to work and "borrowed" the plastic grit blaster, a
little primer and paint,,,whalla (sp?) they now look new, better than new.

I now have the seat out so I can lie on my back and begin the change over
( probably tomorrow) and found a curiousity living under the drivers
seat. A 1x1x1 black plastic cube mounted on a bracket with a green square
connector attached to about 5 wires in a bundle. What is this ? A switch ?
Relay? What for ?

I'll let you know how the project turns out, look forward to hearing from
you all about my mystery unit.
Thanks.

This is a useless part. You can just remove it and tuck the wire under
the carpet. smiling smileysmiling smileysmiling smileysmiling smileysmiling smileysmiling smileysmiling smiley (sorry, I couldn't resist!)

Nope, Nope, Nope, I can't do it! This is your fuel pump relay! It is a
excellent start for a mustang start disable circuit.
