Does anyone have any good recommendations for spark plug wires for a '88 GT?
The Motorcraft wires don't seem to have a very long life to them. I have a
sort of early warning system in my car, called the radio. When a wire is
starting to fail, definite ignition static can be heard on FM, usually when
the car is cold. I've checked this in the past, and when I hear the static
start up, an ohm test of the wires usually shows one at about triple the
resistance of what it should be. Replacing that wire stops the static. I'm
starting to hear the static again, and would like to hear any recommendations
that people may have on a wire set that might last a bit longer. At one time
I had Mallory Sidewinders on the car, but they seemed to hurt more than they
helped (rough idle).
advTHANKSance

I have a 92 mustang GT and the car has 10,500 miles on it. How much
resistance should the plug wrires have. I seem to remember something
like 1kohm per foot. If that is true the wires on my car are way over
due. There like at 3-4 kohms per foot, at least the two that I measured.
