Regarding the chirping sound that sounds like it is coming from the
bellhousing:
Has the tranny/converter already been broken in? Were they partially filled
before you fired the engine?
I recently installed a new C6 in my truck and experienced some noise coming
from the bellhousing area when I first fired it up. At first the noise was like
chirping but turned into a noise like a gear-drive in an engine. The noise
disappeared once the transmission had been properly filled and had been run for
about fifteen minutes.
Hope this helps,

No, the tranny/converter were brand new/rebuilds (the converter is a GER 2500
stall unit). I partially filled the AT before fire and then added more ATF once
it was running (about two minutes after it fired)

The noise has not gone away (but I have not run the engine more than about
25min), nor has it changed. It is quite loud and sounds bad. I guess I am
going to have to connect the driveshaft and test it out some more.
Thanks!
