After moving my TC to move the freezer into the garage, I noticed
a relativly large oil slick under the the area that the engine is. Later
that day, actually about 2 in the morning, my buddy and I drove my TC
into one of the civil engineering labs on campus to have a look-see. (He
has building keys)

Anyway, we didn't get a real good look because we didn't have a
socket the right size to get the intercooler off. But what we did find
are a couple of hoses that go to one of the 3 radiators. These hoses look
as though they go to the middle radiator. I assume this is an oil cooler?
One of these hoses looks not loose, just not on its nipple quite right,
and there was some fresh oil drops on the hose.

We also noticed that there is an area of wet oil on the bottom of
the oil pan. It appears to be comeing from the area between the
transmission (auto) and the back of the engine. Could someone tell me if
this is a rear seal? I sure hope it isn't.

I was wondering if anyone tell me a good wayt to find out what is
leaking. Also on a relateted note, what color is the ATF supposed to be?

And to Barry Freese (sp?)--> I crawled all the way the rear
differential while under the car, and I have the 3.73 gears too. I swear
that Motor Trend Magazine had it listed as a 3.50. The car they tested
was a 5-speed, is that the difference?

thanx
