I just wanted to let the Ford masses know the neatest unmarked cruiser that I
have seen the Massachusetts State Police use. I was on the Mass Turnpike (route
90) yesterday, travelling on the Western section near the NY border. I saw the
blue lights mounted on the rear deck flashing, I had to do a double take, it
was a new Mark 8 !!! It had the alternating headlights and front grille mounted
blue lights. Most of the State Police vehicles are Ford products. I've seen
Crown Vics, 5.0 Stangs, Taurus, and even full size Econoline vans! There are a
few of the older style Caprices around, but an Mark 8 ! Talk about speed and
comfort. While in the Albany, NY area, I noticed the New York State Police
driving around in marked Z-28's, too bad Ford isn't offering a cop stang
anymore.

I have seen Z-28 's in Kansas, Indiana and Wisconsin, as well. Georgia
uses Mustangs and Crown Vics, but North Carolina has started getting
sneaky- along with the usual Mustangs and 'Vics, they have bought some
T-birds(nice in the NC black and silver) and i even heard tell of one person
getting stopped by an F-150!! Gotta be careful here in atlanta- full size
and s- Blazers have been spotted, and I nearly got taken by a completely
flat black mustang laying on the inside shoulder of the interstate- it
had light covers and was unmarked, so that nothing reflected- I got
nervous when the Whistler pegged, and luckily avoided this guy, but man, It
was close. South Carolina uses Mustangs and Crown Vics too, BTW.
