For what it's worth, I just replaced a set of 3rd generation Comp T/As
on my '89 Mustang. This set only lasted 27K miles, some of which I
attribute to using them at an open track weekend early in their lives.
But at $111/tire (for 225/60-ZR15s) I'm not complaining.

Tire Rack has Dunlop D40M2s in the same size for only a few bucks more.
I've heard lots of folks rave about these tires, although longevity is
not their strong suit (typically 25K-30K miles).

BTW, the gent who spent $140 each on Falkens should check the Tire Rack
ad in his favorite magazine (e.g. Car and Driver), as there's no way
those tires should cost that much!

I've got a set of D40-M2s - and I like em.

Hi Chuck, I was the one that said I paid $140 each for the Falkens (actually
I had a coupon and got them for $130 each at NTW). Anyway, I just looked at
a Tire Rack advertisement in Motor Trend. They are priced there for $138 a
peice.
