OK, how 'bout this one. In 1990, I bought my *dream* car. An all
white Mustang GT. No stripe, 5-speed, 3.27 rear end. 3 months later,
while driving over a bridge, the car slides on black ice and I hit the
guard rail. The entire driver's side was ruined. Well, after one
month in the shop, I got it back. AAA decided to raise my rates by
110%, so I sold the car. A couple months later I moved to California
to get away from the harsh winters, picked up an '89 LX 5.0, put on the
Racecraft suspension, Saleen SSC rims, dropped the ususally goodies in
the engine, then walked out of a gas station to see some @#$%#$ drive
off with my car. I had to indentify the body at an Oakland impound
yard a week later when the police found it. I wore black for days.
Mustang #2...gone. So, after a long search, I find an all black 1990
LX 5.0. This time I go hog wild and drop the usual goodies in the
motor, but chromed everything to make it look reeeeeeaaaaal nice an'
purty...until a Golden Gate Transit bus rammed in the driver's door,
totalling the car and knocking me for one hell of a ride. Mustang #3
now sits in a junk yard in Sacramento (many thanks to Chris Behier for
helping me salvage what I could from the motor). So, what do I drive
now? I'll give you three guesses, and the first two don't count.
