Could someone tell me if a K&N air filter dropped into the stock
airfilter box on my Escort GT would make any difference. I didn't want
to fiddle with the mass air to put a big filtercharger on it, just wanted
to drop one that will fit into the stock box (a replacement filter).
I've also been told that K&N doesn't make these. Is this true? Also,
what would a dual Flowmaster exhaust do for my car....I already have one
3 chamber Flowmaster but what would happen if I ran a Y connector pipe
after the catalytic converter and then installed another? Would it do
anything for the back pressure or would it just make it louder if it
would do either of these things. I can tell you that the first one gave
it less back pressure and made it much louder and I think that it would
be worth another if it made it louder cause I really like

[re: Escort GT mods]
A lower restriction air filter might give you slightly better efficiency
at a modest price. If you can find one, go for it.

I'd suggest sticking with your single exhaust. If you really need to
improve anything further, go with a larger catalyst. That's the primary
restriction in your car's exhaust.
