about home made flow benches, a guy i knew made one from a ford vane sensor.
he had access to the voltage/ohm amounts to cfm amounts and used a VOM meter
to tell him the flow. the construction was the vane sensor mounted on a wood
bench, a shop vac, and two additional (air temp) ford sensors. since the max
was only up to 300cfm (if using the 2.3 turbo one), it was good enough for
intake/exhaust ports. when checked with some professional flow numbers, it
was in 5-10cfm.

further, could someone use a mass air for the same purpose. the cost of a
flow bench (superFlow 600) is costly for the common racer. the PHR was good
but i think electronic readings would be the most accurate. (if i recall
the PHR was a copy simuliar to SuperFlow. if it was electronic, i apoligize
for my ignorance. i don't have the magazine article in front of me.)
