I have a 68 Mustang with a 289/C4 combo. I recently installed a new
set of 3.89 gears and a detroit locker in my 9in. Now, about two weeks
later the car seems to have developed a new problem. At highway speeds the
car seems to surge and lose power and then surge again. Meanwhile, the tach
stays rock steady. I also seem to have lost power in the overall
performance of the vehicle. The trans is full of fluid and it is a
relatively new filter. I check the vacumn line and it looked ok. Could it
be the modulator???? Or is this a major tranny problem

Any insight would be greatly appreciated....
