The January issue of Hot Rod has a "How To Identify Engines" photo
spread. They show a Cadillac engine labeled "early Cadillac." There's
some question of this, as it appears to be a later engine with a bypass
oil filter stuck on it, maybe one of those Amsoil things.

The second photo is labeled "late Cadillac." It shows a small block
Ford with an early Cadillac air cleaner. I didn't know Ford made
engines for Cadillac. <grin>

In other news, the new issue of Kit Car shows a guy trying to remove
some socket head capscrews from brake rotor-on-hat assemblies, using a
pair of pliers. Always good to know you have the right tool for the
job. A later photo in the same article shows the hat mounted on the
hub. Unfortunately the studs are sticking through the large diameter
lightening holes in the face of the hat, and not the stud holes.

Car Crap came in yesterday along with the other two, but I've been
afraid to open it.
