I have a couple of friends who happen to race dirt.
Unfortunatly not with Ford Big Blocks, they are willing
to switch from there Chevys if I'll spend the money for
them. They both were breaking axles until the
switched over to floating rearends, not to mention the
easy they now have switching center section to
change gears at the track. The best thing to use for
a leaking rearend is good old fashioned blue silicon.I
fully agree with the idea of siliconing the center
section of the rear end. NO GASKETS ! But I
disagree with the idea of waiting 24 hours to fill the
rearend with oil, from all experiences for helping
change a gear. Drain the oil, pull out the center
section, silicon the pumpkin (1/4"-3/8" bead), insert
the center section, bolt on (tighten well) and fill with
oil.

Does anybody know of any kind of racing listserver?

Wether it may be drag racing or circle track, but I'd
prefer dirt track racing.
