Chuck, sorry for the additional reply on tools earlier---timing is everything.
Just bought a 95 F150-302 this weekend. So the Ranger 4X goes up for sale,
and I can put the 86 GT on stands for upgrades (and rust work). Are there any
generic issues to watch for on f150's other than say front camber or swapping
tanks occasionally? Also, has anyone gone to aftermarket headers and bolt up
duals. Do the header kits use singles or duals? I'm interested in this from the
standpoint of 200,000 miles of increased gas mileage. The existing exhaust
system looks somewhat restrictive. Duals may be prohibitive from a cost of
two or four more convertors. Any thoughts out there on this? Also, have full
sized trucks come a long way?....what a nice product. Wanted a 95 (vs wait for
the Triton) to stay with the 302 and a truck with (hopefully) all the bugs worked
out. I think when Ford dumps the much maligned, but very reliable, twin
I-beam front end in 96, a lot folks will miss the tight turning radius the old
system allows. thanks, Dave Lampert---- (email redacted)

I noticed last night while looking through the "new" J.C. Whipme catalog
that they have a book specifically about the F-series Ford trucks. Would
probably be a good source of information for questions like these. If
anyone needs more information, let me know and I'll go home and look up
the details.

Well, I got enough requests for the information that I figger I am justified
in posting it to the list.
J. C. Whitney can be reached at (312) 431-6102 24hrs/7days. Be warned that
they will stab you for shipping.
