On 302 V8 in trucks, the EGR valve is on the right (passenger) side of the
engine very high up. It is mounted to the intake manifold plenum (the big
aluminum block on top of the engine that says "5.0 EFI" or something like
that). It is on the side of the plenum near the front. It will have a metal
tube, probably rusty, coming up attached to the bottom. The tube may have
some sort of asbestos cover on it as this is the exhaust feed and it gets
hot. On top of the EGR is and electical connector and an vacuum hose. The
EGR valve is cylindrical about 2 inches in diameter and about 4 inches tall.
