I found that the acid bath treatment works very well. I recently
took a stock chevy small block intake (from boneyard) to my
local machine shop for a dip. It cost $25 and they even painted it
for me (orange, of course). The EGR circuit was completely blocked with
carbon before treatment; it's now spotless!
