Hello all,
I have a quick question.
My check engin light flutters off and on (on two seconds, off a couple),
during the early morning. I was thinking that maybe it was due
to the change of weather, colder and all. However, maybe not.
Some people have mentioned a ftp site where one can grab a
EEC-IV code document. Can someone point me to this site?
Is one of the sensors bad?

I've seen this on my '89 Mustang, and it always came up as code 31 --
EGR valve or position sensor. It's probably just a clogged EGR valve,
or perhaps a worn-out EGR valve position (EVP) sensor. Either one can
be fixed at home with a few bucks in parts. While Ford doesn't
recommend it, the EGR valve can be cleaned with some carb cleaner and a
toothbrush; all you need is the appropriate gasket, only a couple of
bucks at the local Ford store. The EVP sensor is especially easy to
replace, being easily accessible and held on by 3 screws, but the part
alone will set you back about $30.

Hmmm, sure have had a lot of requests for this lately. Since everyone
seems to have forgotten, I'll post the charter (which contains this
info) in a separate message.
