What is the proper way to set the brake proportioning valve on
my 1986 GT? This came with the rear disk brake conversion.

Thank you in advance,

I hate to tell you this but it is trial and error. With my American
Sedan Mustang, I started all the way at the lowest setting and would
turn it up a half turn until I was comfortable with it. You will know
when you have gone to far, you will lock up the backs without the
fronts locking up. I hope this helps.

I dont know about this particular kit, but I have put valves on other brake
systems. They only way I know to do it is by trial and error. (If someone
knows a better way I'd love to hear it). I start with the thing off (full
flow) and then increase reduction if the rears lock up prematurely. Dont
forget to adjust for wet weather too if you are goint to drive it on the
streets.
k.p.
