I saw this news posted in a motorsports listing, just thought you fellow Ford
people would like to know. I am surprised/shocked by this news. He was just up
here in New England last week for the Grand Opening of the all new Tasca Ford.
He had the transport with the Probe's, Rusty was there too.

: bypass surgery Dec. 29. He underwent 4 1/2 hours of surgury.

Yep, he suffered a heart attack over the holidays. Hopefully he will
get some much needed rest, cut back on the smoking, and return soon.
In the interim, Rusty will drive the Quality Care Probe until Bob is
ready to come back while Bill Glidden has a ride this year as well
with a different team!

: Get well soon Bob! Let's see that Ford fly this season!

How old is Bob? Any idea of how much or how long he smoked? I know
players in some sports take caffein before competition, nicotine do the same
thing?

I know that Bob is in his 50's, exact age, uncertain. He has smoked for many
years. I think eating all that crummy track food, and the usual fast foods
while
travelling did not help his arteries very much. He has been on the road ,
travelling from race to race for many, many years... I hope and pray that he
has
a full and speedy recovery!!!!!
