Last night I was digging through my boxes of torn-out magazine pages
and putting them into notebooks. I found an article from Popular Hot
Rodding, no date on the footer, but probably from the late '70s or early
'80s.

The article was an interview with Mike Hinson, Hinson Engine Products,
Highway 301 South, Statesboro GA 30458. Hinson was building Fords out
into the 610 inch range in the days before the AR and SVO goodies.

According to Hinson, any 335-series motor can go to 4.440 bore without
checking for core shift or wall thickness. He recommends checking
thickness and shift when going to 4.520, which gives you 520 cubes with
a 4.15 stroker crank. The pistons were custom Arias forgings, though.
