Hey All,

Just a little FYI,

The 1995 Mustang GTS should be at most Ford dealers any day. I talked to a
friend
I race with, who's father own Steve Williams Ford in Lawrencburg TN. Thier
first one
should be in anyday. Basically it will have base mustang opition, but it
will have the
5.0 under the hood. They will also have the 16 inch wheels that come on the
GT.

Now for the part everyone has been wanting to know. Accord to Steve, they
sticker will
be someone between $17500-$17900. So there shouldnt be any problem getting
one
for less than $17k.

If anyone else can shed light on this subject please do so. I will be
driving one as soon
as they come in. More than likely it will be next week sometime. I will
tell more after the ride.

Does anybody know when the DOHC motor will find it's way into the
Mustang? When the new Mustang came out, the DOHC was supposed to be
ready for '95 but obviously it was not. Now I don't hear anything. Is it
still coming or has Ford decided to stay with the 302 indefinitely?

John

A friend at work has a relative at Ford engine test and developement. We
are told the 2 cam high output "modular" is having trouble passing Calf.
emissions test. Looks like the 302 will be here for another 1-2 years he
says. I welcome the mod. engine the 302 is still good but its time for a
new design.

I was told by the same guy that told me about the GTS that "Job 1"

I dont remember for sure. Has anyone else heard anything like this.
I will make some calls today to try to find out more.

Good news here, I always wondered why the 2 cam would be difficult to
pass emmissions. Hasn't this engine been available on big Mercurys and
Lincoln's for several years. Perhaps the "juiced" up 2 cam engine is the
problem ?????
