Ladies and Gentlemen,

Chuck was right in his analysis - Ford purposely advances the timming
by about 3 degrees when the fan turns on. So I am now back to square
one. I ended up placing the timming like I got the car (7 degrees BTDC)
and the car runs fine now. The reason they did this is so that the
engine would not die if the fan turns on at idle (giving it a few more
ponies to counter the effect of the fan). I would like to thank all of
you who responded - now I know one more difference between my '92 and
the '94.
