My friend and I have used 69 Windsor heads on two cars, one an 85 GT and the
other an 87 GT. Mine were street ported with a good valve job and on the 85
with a cam headers, intake and a good carb and I got it to run 12.68 @ 109.
My friend used his stock but with adjustable valve train, a reground cam and
full length 1 1/2 hooker super comp headers and he ran 13 ohs at 105. They
flow about the same as out of the box GT-40s but have one drawback, there is
no relief built into the bottom of the heads for the extra clearance to get
roller lifters out of the lifter bores without removing the head. If you
plan to change the cam do it when you put the heads on. The only other way
would be to have two friends hold the lifters up while you insert the cam.
