Randy Hasson and I got together Friday evening to talk Mustangs, Fords
(real Tim Allen stuff arr, arr, arrr), and as it was a nice (read DRY)
Seattle evening, to take my Mustang out for a spin.Much later, locked out
of my house as a result of leaving my house key inside (duh, and my better
half was out with her gang), Randy and I, decided to attack the 302
Mexican block that has been sitting rather pathetically in my garage,,,,we
were so enthused (this is the first time either of us has disassembled any
kind of V8), we continued the next day and by Saturday evening we had it
down to to the bare block EXCEPT for the camshaft (that bugger wouldn't
budge an inch)....the lifters were jammed in there pretty good and although
we couldn't remove them, we pulled them up high enough (it seemd) to clear
the cam....any ideas on getting the cam out?
Also, I have a pile of parts that I'd rather just offload, as I don't think
I'll need them in the territory for which I'm heading (now where did I put
that Summit catalog :-)....
So,I want to sell the following (I'll advertise in a local BuynSell rag),
and I was hoping you guys could help me price these items reasonably (every
thing looks solid if somewhat grungy, and there's no evidence the engine
had any major damage, although it looked like it was burning oil....the
engine came out of a 69 Montego, so it could just be a really tired old
engine)

The parts are

2 BBl intake and Autolite Carb
2 cylinder heads
2 exhhaust manifolds
8 connecting rods (or could I re-use these?)
Valve covers (with 'Powered by Ford ' script
Air cleaner...

I think that's it... all parts are stock, as everything seems to have C9
casting and part numbers (Randy was pretty sure the motor had never been
rebuilt) ...Your suggestions would be most appreciated...TIA

*remove* the lifters first.

"I do not think that this 'transistor' will ever be worth the immense
development cost that has gone into it. It cannot be mass produced
and will never be able to handle more than very small signal levels."
